Happy New Year update on our " New Home for our Tumaini Family " January 2016

Happy New Year!

Our Newest update

"A New Home for our Tumaini Family!"

We are so grateful for the people who have so generously given into this time sensitive project!  Our family here at Tumaini must have a new home by this time next year!  Unfortunately our offer on the 1 acre with the buildings did not go through. This is how it is in Kenya. But God knows all things and we are trusting and following Him.

We are now on a line with our original option and that is buying land and starting our house from ground up.  There were many pluses to the first property but there are also many pluses to this land which has no buildings and one of the most important is that we get to start from scratch and we know for sure what has been done to get the house we have at the end. Horace came to Kenya with this in mind and has already build here, so he is very excited to begin.

The cost will eventually be around the same amount $400,000 ( 40 mil ks or GBP 265,000 ) to complete this building project. Because of our generous donors already we have over $100,000 and should be able to purchase the land and begin the security wall and fence with this amount but to complete the building of the home is going to take many more generously given donations.

The best part of this is we get more land for our money. We are looking at a 5 acre piece instead of a 1 acre piece. There is electricity available and city water also available. We can have a hand dug well in a short time.  Everything is available and in place on this piece that was on the other except the wall and buildings.

The land is not far from where we live now, about 7 minuets drive on dry roads about twice that when wet and rutty. The roads are a bit more rural and a 4x4 will have to come into the picture more sooner than later for us to be sure of reliable transport in and out year round.

This is a very nice area, peaceful and beautiful, the city is not far away but it has a great country farm atmosphere to it! We looked at this area before we were shown the 1 acre with buildings. We like it very much and so do the children.
We continue to be very excited that God has chosen this time for our family to receive a new home. We have prayed for this need for several years and want to obediently follow Him as He opens and shuts doors for us to be where He would have us be.

Please pray that the deed will be in order for this piece, also pray that everyone God has spoken to will give as He has directed, pray that things will move along in a time line that will complete this project as needed by the end of 2016.
Thank you again our dear and beloved friends and family for your continuing support of us in finances and prayer.

Horace, Phyllis, Dannon and all our Tumaini Family

LWM is committed to drilling a deep well for you. As soon as the deed is clear we can get a permit and begin that process. Money will be transferred the first of next week. I have several excellent builders that are ready to help when it's time to build. I will personally study up on Kenyan electrical code and make sure all is well. You may want to consider more solar as this is Herb's expertise. We are all very excited for this opportunity! Praise God!
