Wonderful News, a Miracle in fact! We have our land!

We have our Land!

( If you look straight down passed the avocado tree in the middle of the picture to the far row of trees in the distance, you will see the end of our land. It is huge, much more than we ever dreamed.)

" Eye has not seen nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him." 1 Corinthians 2:9

As many of you already know we started praying for land over 4 years ago. We started seriously looking around November 2015 because of the urgency of a move we must make from this leased property we live on at present.

We began looking at a 1acre piece with buildings, we knew 1 acre was probably not enough for us to sustain ourselves on but we knew we must go somewhere and 1 acre looked big compared to what we live on now. When this piece fell through we then went back to a plan we had thought of  years before, buying land and building exactly what we needed.

We put out the word that we would need money in order to even look because land is selling so fast in our area that if you do not have a down payment, you may as well not look. Big hearted generous people listened to God and began to give to our " New Home for Tumaini " Project.

We thought the money would be our largest problem. We did not know that many more problems awaited us, even with some money in hand the land was much more expensive than we had expected and most people did not want to sell because they are waiting for the prices to go up.

So we would find a piece and make an offer just to be told the price we had been quoted was not the price, in fact the price was double what we had been told, or the property was not really for sale or the owner had no way to get the deed. All of these issues and more seem to be in the way of purchasing our much need piece of land.

But God can not be stopped when He says " it is time! "

Just before we were about to throw in the towel, someone contacted us about a piece that we had already seen a couple of times on the map. But it was much bigger than we had in mind. It was a 10 acre piece and we had been looking for 3 to 5 acre pieces. We finally consented to go and look at this piece with the owner. When we drove up to it, Horace did not like how it was cut. The land is a 20 acre piece that is cut long and then it was cut again to make two 10 acre pieces, 190 ft wide at the top and 2353 and some ft long.

( This picture is taken passed the Avocado tree and you can see the line of trees at the bottom that mark our land boundary better. )

But as we were driving away Horace shaking his head no to the owner, he stopped to listen, and God said get out and walk, so we did!  After walking abit we knew, this was it!

The asking price had not changed from the 1st time it was quoted to us which was a very fair price (16,480,000. ks / $164,000 USD) The owner wants to relocate and needs the money to do that. There are similar pieces that now about 3 weeks after we started this process sell for twice the price. God is good and we are so please with what He has again provided for us at Tumaini.

We realize the battles are not over, we still must drill for water, get electricity on to the property, fence the entire piece and of course build a house large enough to house all of our family here at Tumaini.  But God is good and we feel Him with us as always.

This is not over by a long shot, so if you were thinking you had missed out on helping with this project please think again because we believe that God is still calling many to help us see this " New Home for Tumaini" come to reality.

If you are hearing and want to help with this continuing project please send all donations to our non-profit in the states:
Family Keys International, P.O. Box 378, Clarkston WA 99403 or if you are out of the US please contact us and we can give you our banking information in Kenya.

Thank you so much!

As we prepare to continue; PLEASE join us in CELEBRATING how WONDERFUL and GRACIOUS our GOD is!

We want to thank all of you who have already donated and have been praying.

Prayer truly is the vehicle that God uses to move His wonderful will along.

 May God Bless you all!

Horace, Phyllis,Dannon and all here at Tumaini
